I know! I know! It's been a few years since I last put anything on this blog! But should even one solitary soul has been waiting all this time to see if I do, here I am again.
I've been inspired to resurrect this way of communicating because of my lovely niece, Linda, who sent me the very first blog of her own today, and then I remembered--I could be here with my writing, too, as well as with my writing group, or on Facebook, or emails, or in notebooks, or indeed any of the many public spaces for writing these days.
A blog is nice because it can be fairly short, include pictures, quotes, reviews, just about anything that is an expression of one's day, or even of one's moment!
There was a lovely moment this morning, when, after a night of quite severe storms and rain, there was one of the most beautiful rainbows I have ever seen, arching over the trees to the west of us with such clear colors and such a complete arch. It's been a long time since I last saw a rainbow! It's not that they're that rare--it's just whether you happen to catch one because they don't last for long. I stood on our deck this morning. absolutely entranced, and when, for a brief second, I thought of getting my camera, I waved that away to simply stand in awe for the full 10 to 15 minutes that it lasted. A beautiful start to my day.

About Me
- Name: Sea Change
- Location: Ohio, United States
Hello. My name is Shelagh, and I am a new arrival in the blogosphere! Not sure what this country is, yet, but I know I will bring some valuable things into it--wisdoms worn smoothe by living through them, like pieces of sea-glass--and momentary pleasures that flit like dragonflies, then hover, bright blue, above the trout stream of daily living. Yes, well... It's my desire, too, to be of some inspiration and offer hope to those who seek recovery from past traumas or addictions, and will add resources and links in this realm as time goes on. One of my favorite quotes is: "Let the beauty we love be what we do" ~Rumi
